This past year I had the joy and honor to be able to create bouquets for four brides, one in winter, spring, summer and fall.

Juliana and Luke’s December wedding was so beautiful and festive, with burgundy, red, white and green. I used imported blooms for these winter florals - Potomac Floral Wholesale in Maryland sources gorgeous South American roses.

Maria and Chris got married on a misty April day, and this soft, peachy color palette is one of my all time favorites (if I were to pick a favorite, that is). These flowers were also sourced from Potomac Floral.

Maria and Chris also opted for sweet bud vases, loose flowers and candles for their reception tables.

Germaine and Ioan’s August wedding flowers were a celebration of summer. This was a collaboration with one of the bride’s sisters - she made the bridesmaids’ bouquets and I did the bride’s and groom’s with locally grown flowers, including lisianthus and lacy hydrangea. There’s nothing like that Shenandoah valley backdrop...

And Courtney and Rick’s October wedding was a riot of fall colors! It’s always so fun when someone requests bold and bright. Courtney’s bouquet included October gems such as dahlias (of course), giant marigolds, zinnias, cosmos and celosia.

I’m so happy I was able to be a small part of these lovely couples’ wedding days! And looking forward to the wedding flowers of 2024. :)
